Movement and Choreography with Marion Cronin

  • Sunday, September 23rd from 11am to 3pm
  • Price: 35€ + Booking Fee
  • Dublin Circus Centre, Main Space

The workshop is divided into two classes with a different focus in each. The first is a movement technique class blending elements of contemporary dance, floor work and movement improvisation techniques. The class is not focused on learning steps but instead is designed to expand your personal range of movement and kinetic awareness. We will explore how dynamism  and power of movement is developed through subtle actions and spiral pathways in the body.

This is an energetic and fun class, emphasizing flow, articulation, dynamics, and musicality. In the second class we will explore how you can create movement and develop choreographic ideas. Working as a group we will explore the use of movement improvisation tasks to develop different choreographic choices. This workshop is open to everyone with a curiosity to expand their movement and choreographic vocabulary. It will specifically interest people with any type of physical training background who are interested in integrating more dance and movement into their own artist field.
