Elena and Zsófi – the DCP Acro Team is full of energy this fall! The summer was filled with acro conventions and teacher trainings to help us create fun classes with loads of skills, progressions to enable students to deepen their knowledge and understanding of the body and how to be efficient during their acro practice. Our goal is to share what we deciphered about how to find fluidity and synchronicity in our moves through careful attention to alignment, adequate grip, and the ability to engage with the right part of the body. Acrobatic partner yoga teaches us how to trust, find balance, improve self-awareness, and express creativity. We are inviting you to discover the world of flying and basing, and simply connecting through new experiences.
*****No experience or partner required!*****
Our classes have a friendly environment, full of fun drills, games and exercises, acro flows, techniques and the dynamic part is complemented with a more relaxing practice: therapeutic flying and thai massage in order to ease the tension in the body and to clear the mind. Time seems to just fly in our classes, you’ll hardly notice that you have been intensely practicing the whole time, but you will certainly feel regenerated!
Elena Brossa’s love for acroyoga and partner acrobatics sparked a few years ago, from her passion for body movement and she went on to do the teacher training and is now a qualified Vancity Acroyoga and Acrofusion teacher. She is an active member of the Irish circus community, and this is the most recent step of a long journey of discovery of movement vocabulary, spanning from martial arts to yoga, from jazz and contemporary dance, to aerial and callisthenics.
Zsófi Ruszkai found her passion for acroyoga and partner acrobatics through the Irish Circus Community, and plays an important role as part of the DCP Board of Directors. She is a certified Acroyoga Montréal teacher and a 250 hrs RYT yoga teacher. For Zsófi acroyoga is about connecting to others while finding balance within. This realization shed a new light on how she understands yoga, which for her is a way to set the emotional and physical foundations necessary to create unforgettable experiences while moving, dancing and connecting with others. Hence the motto “yogatoconnect”. For Zsófi this practice is about letting go, while learning to open up to others, learning how to respect and see the uniqueness in everyone. #yogatoconnect
