Elena and Zsófi are inviting the Dublin acro community to an all level creative open acro session every Monday. These 90 minute sessions will give space to people from all journey of acro to meet and practice under guidance. While there will be no formal tuition, we will lead warm up/ games/ fun conditioning exercises and aim to create a space where creativity inspires practice, by sharing skills, moves and ideas.
You’ll get tips and advice on how to improve your technique but you are more than welcome to contribute with ideas and practice anything you are interested in. While acro jams are most likely best suited if you have some experience, nevertheless don’t be shy to come along if you are a beginner acrobat, you’ll pick up a lot by watching and playing with the more experienced!
We really hope to see more of you, bring your creative energies and smiles please!
Elena Brossa’s love for acroyoga and partner acrobatics sparked a few years ago, from her passion for body movement and she went on to do the teacher training and is now a qualified Vancity Acroyoga and Acrofusion teacher. She is an active member of the Irish circus community, and this is the most recent step of a long journey of discovery of movement vocabulary, spanning from martial arts to yoga, from jazz and contemporary dance, to aerial and callisthenics.
Zsófi Ruszkai found her passion for acroyoga and partner acrobatics through the Irish Circus Community, and plays an important role as part of the DCP Board of Directors. She is a certified Acroyoga Montréal teacher and a 250 hrs RYT yoga teacher. For Zsófi acroyoga is about connecting to others while finding balance within. This realization shed a new light on how she understands yoga, which for her is a way to set the emotional and physical foundations necessary to create unforgettable experiences while moving, dancing and connecting with others. Hence the motto “yogatoconnect”. For Zsófi this practice is about letting go, while learning to open up to others, learning how to respect and see the uniqueness in everyone. #yogatoconnect
