We have a passionate Management Team, voted in by our members, consisting of dedicated volunteers who all work very hard to organise and manage Dublin Circus Project activities.


Laura Ivers  –  Chairperson

Laura has been a circus enthusiast since picking up juggling at the NUI Maynooth Juggling Society in 2011 while completing her Philosophy masters. Starting hoop and juggling over the years Laura has expanded her circus practice and performance to include club passing, clowning and partner acrobatics.

Laura is also on the Board of Directors of the Irish Street Arts, Circus and Spectacle Network (ISACS) and when not playing circus, Laura is busy working as Community Associate at the CoderDojo Foundation.


Niall Tuohy  –  Vice Chairperson

Niall began learning circus in 2006 in Dublin. As he came to know and connect with the circus community not only in Dublin but throughout Ireland, he soon became obsessed with poi and the circus arts. After sufficiently developing his skills he performed in multiple main stage shows in Ireland and abroad, including the European Juggling Convention 2014’s ‘Irish Gala’.

With a keen interest in marketing, he also works with 256 Media, Content Marketing Agency as a Digital Marketing Executive.  When he’s not training in circus you’ll probably find him fiddling around on the internet.


Ben Carpentar  –  Secretary

Ben is a circus performer and teacher. He found a love of circus while in College studying for his Bachelors of Law. After obtaining his degree, he went on to continue training in juggling and the circus arts at various institutions in Ireland and throughout Europe. He  spent a year training at the Katakomben Center for Performing Arts in Berlin and returned to Ireland in the hope of bringing contemporary circus to a wider audience in Ireland.


Tony Mahon  –  Venue Officer

Tony has been involved in circus activities for the past 8 years. He started as a hobbyist travelling throughout Ireland and Europe learning and training. After two years studying in the Centre de les Arts del Circ Rogelio Rivel in Barcelona he has returned to Dublin to continue his love of circus as a performer and teacher aspiring to spread the joy of circus arts.


Aoife Raleigh  –  Youth Coordinator

Aoife left a previous life as an Engineer in 2013 seeking a path that offered more fulfillment and freedom. Having practiced circus as a hobby for a few years she found a passion in the use of circus as a social development tool. She has been growing her knowledge and experience in the field attending courses by Galway Community Circus with Pii Poo of Finland, working with Rhythm Room as a facilitator for adults with special needs and working with disadvantaged children in both Ireland and France.


Angelica Santander  –  Events Officer

Angelica Santander is a Chilean Clown/actress/ Director, based in Dublin for the last 12 years. She completed a course in technical theatre, has a degree in Performing Arts, and in 2009 she completed a Master of Arts in Theatre Studies in St Patrick’s College, Dublin.

In 2009 Angelica co-founded Kidding Ensemble which produced multiple productions including “Cosas” (2011) , “Mag’s Tail” (2012) and “Sweet hands, Spicy feet” (2013).  In 2013 she directed Dublin Circus Project’s circus theatre production Backstaged! and has since been actively working with Dublin Circus Project in several circus theatre projects and developing youth outreach programmes .


Erika Brocca  –  Treasurer

Erika is an Italian circus performer who developed her skills working in a juggling society, I Corretti, for 6 years. Moreover, she has been practicing Rhythmic Gymnastics for the past 20 years and is a qualified teacher of this discipline.

She arrived in Ireland 2 years ago where she discovered acrobalance and aerial hoop. She has performed in fire and cabaret shows and is teaching Dynamic Flexibility classes, primarily with Dublin Circus Project but also occasionally in circus and acrobalance conventions and institutes.


Caroline Toledo  –  Public Relations Officer

Carol has found herself involved in many types of artistic languages and expressions since she was very young. Even after graduating in Biology and having what is considered a “normal job”, somehow she could find time to do what would makes her heart beat more. Always very artistically active she used to dance, sing in bands and act in local plays.

In 2013 Carol decided to leave the sunshine of Rio de Janeiro to come to Dublin in order to pursue a new life, improve her English, emerge herself in a new culture and make new friends. It was a year after arriving here in Ireland that Carol tried aerial classes and she never looked back! Silks, hoop, trapeze, cloud swing, straps and, last but not least, Rope – her biggest aerial love. Having trained with many aerial rope renowned coaches since 2015. It is on this apparatus that she spends most of her time training.
